Colorado River 100

adventure – 100 k (62 miles)

    • Packet Pickup & Boat Drop

    • Welcome reception hosted by Bastrop County & LCRA

Saturday Sept 3

Qualifications to race in the Competitive Class

The competitive class is for experienced marathon paddlers.  These folks are generally either racing to win or racing to beat a given time.  Either way they have a plan and are focused on a goal.  Competitive Class is a 100 mile race.  Paddlers will definitly encounter night paddling and fatigue.  Top finishers will receive awards.

Qualifications to race in the Adventure Class

The adventure class is for novice paddlers and more casual marathon paddlers.  These folks are generally just trying to finish.  If you do not have a performance racing boat you are an adventure paddler.  Adventure Class is a 100 kilometer (62 mile) race.  This is a great race for the aspiring marathon canoe racer.  Top finishers will receive prizes but not trophies.

*all categories will include male and female divisions and mixed in tandems.

Age Restrictions (all classes)

Solo: 18 & Up

Tandem: 14 & Up

Tandem paddlers under 18 in the Competitive or Adventure Class must travel with an adult at all times. No exceptions.

Due to the extreme nature of this event, strict age limitations will be enforced.

The youth race is designed for teams age 14 to 17.  There will be additional checkpoints between Bastrop and Smithville for the youth race to enhance safety for the youth class.
